Eric is a Certified Passive House Consultant & Retrofit Expert, AECB CarbonLite Retrofit Graduate & AECB Standards Certifier, Chartered Water and Environmental Manager and Chartered Environmentalist.

For most of his career, his 'day job' mostly involved water supply & sanitation in low-income countries during which time he helped to co-found BushProof, an award-winning business based in Madagascar. But it was after gaining experience through carrying out a deep retrofit on his own house, that he retrained as a Passivhaus Consultant to help other homeowners do the same - he does this through his business ColdProof.

Eric is passionate about the need for retrofit in the UK, which has been his motivation for helping to develop both the Passivhaus Tradesperson course and the Retrofit Delivery course.
