Delivered by local Passivhaus experts Coaction Training, supported by sustainability engineers ETUDE and hosted by TRURO AND PENWITH COLLEGE, this heavily subsidised course offers an unmissable chance to gain cutting-edge knowledge and skills to deliver high-performance, low-energy builds on site, and be at the forefront of Cornwall’s Net Zero transformation!
Discover what is different in Passivhaus to traditional 'business as usual'. Our experienced industry-based trainers will guide you through the core concepts of Passivhaus construction using a range of real-world case studies, covering topics, including the importance of sequencing, tolerances, material selection and airtightness.
"As construction ramps up on the first tranche of homes approved under Cornwall Council's flagship net zero energy policy, Coaction Training and Etude have partnered with Truro College to deliver subsidised Passivhaus Contractor training for construction professionals across Cornwall.
This course will provide an opportunity to learn about and practice the techniques required to build the well-insulated, airtight, low energy buildings required for new housing in Cornwall.
The upskilling required to deliver better quality fabric is direct consequence of this local policy and demonstrates it is working to deliver more efficient, comfortable homes." - Chris Worboys, Passivhaus Certifier, Etude*
