Coaction Training CIC ran our first course for contractors and building professionals in Cornwall on the 7 February this year. This in-person training offered a unique opportunity to upskill in low energy construction techniques that play a pivotal role in delivering Passivhaus and other high-performance building standards such as Cornwall Council's Net Zero policy for new homes.

Delivered by Sally Godber, director at Coaction and WARM and supported by Chris Warboys sustainability engineers ETUDE and hosted by TRURO AND PENWITH COLLEGE, the course offered an unmissable chance to gain cutting-edge knowledge and skills to deliver high-performance, low-energy builds on site, and be at the forefront of Cornwall’s Net Zero transformation!

In six hours, we covered:

• Passivhaus theory, principals and characteristics
• The attention to detail and care required to achieve the certified Passivhaus standard on-site
• How to spot potential issues on-site and develop appropriate solutions
• A practical session with proprietary materials.
