Director at Lambert Home Builds

Taking the Passivhaus Tradesperson course and passing the exam has given me further confidence particularly in managing Retrofit projects and the importance of understanding building physics. Our next project is an EnerPHit which I feel much better prepared for and looking forward to it starting!

The course was spread over four 3 hour sessions very ably lead by trainers from Coaction, all experienced in Passivhaus practice which was very evident in the delivery of the information. I really enjoyed going through the key components of building a Passivhaus and the critical areas to focus on. The course was very well set out and thought through and provides excellent preparation for the exam.
The course enabled me to build up my confidence in identifying key junctions for airtightness detailing as well as useful revision of U value calculations and a solid grounding in building physics, whilst applying it to real life!

If you are thinking of doing the course I would encourage you to do so, it will give you a much better understanding of the principle of Passivhaus and how to apply it. If you can understand the principles then the exam will be straightforward and you gain an accreditation that is internationally recognised.
