Passivhaus Open Evening with Coaction & WARM

Join us in Plymouth for a relaxed evening of drinks, networking and Passivhaus tours as part of the Passivhaus Trust Open Days programme.

We're opening the doors to our office at Admirals Hard and inviting local alumni, clients, collaborators and friends of Coaction and WARM to come together for an informal summer gathering.

The evening will begin with drinks and nibbles on the balcony, followed by a tour of our office and a visit to the nearby Passivhaus home of Coaction and WARM Director, Sally Godber.

Whether you've trained with us, worked with us, partnered with us, or are simply interested in low-energy buildings, we'd love to see you.

What to expect

This is a friendly, informal event designed to bring together members of our local Passivhaus and building performance community.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Meet the Coaction and WARM team
  • Catch up with fellow course alumni and industry colleagues
  • Tour our retrofitted office and learn about its Passivhaus features
  • Visit a lived-in Passivhaus home and hear first-hand experiences of occupancy
  • Enjoy drinks, nibbles and conversation on the balcony

About the buildings...

1. Admirals Hard - (1st floor office - Certified EnerPHit)

The Coaction & WARM office at Admirals Hard is located within Plymouth's historic waterfront. The project demonstrates how Passivhaus principles can be successfully applied to an existing building, delivering excellent comfort, indoor air quality and energy performance while working within the constraints of a refurbishment project.

During the tour, we'll explore some of the key features that contribute to the building's performance, including:

  • High levels of insulation and airtightness
  • Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
  • High-performance windows and doors
  • Thermal bridge-free detailing
  • Strategies for occupant comfort and energy efficiency

2. Sally's House - Certified Passivhaus

An optional extra visit to see Sally's self-build house, a short walk from the office, and a chance to discuss the realities of undertaking a Passivhaus project and what it means to live in a Passivhaus.
